Corpoemcadeia is an artistic project for social inclusion that aims to bring the experience of dance and theatre to a group of inmates, aged between 18 and 30, in the initial phase of serving their sentences at the Linhó Prison. Through the experience of body/dance work and the creative processes and methodologies of the Olga Roriz Company, guided by the principles and practices of Gestalt Therapy, the aim is to create spaces for experimentation and reflection on identity and the human experience, and also to raise awareness in society in general, and in particular among artists and health professionals, of the added value of this type of intervention.
In addition to a final show with artistic direction by Olga Roriz, a book is planned to be published presenting a new model of community artistic intervention based on encounters between Dance/Gestalt and the production of a documentary about the project.
