The Filarmónica Enarmonia project aims to promote musical training and the practice of wind and percussion instruments among 30 blind or visually impaired and sighted children, young people and adults in Lisbon.
Over the course of 36 months, classes will be given in music theory, wind or percussion instruments, and musical reading and memorization, using program content printed in ink, Braille musicography and relief figuration diagrams. The formation of a philharmonic band will guarantee participants the opportunity to perform musical works together that are appropriate to their cognitive skills and musical taste, in rehearsals and concerts.
