The VELEDA – Women and Single Parenthood project is aimed at single women, with dependent children and in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability, in the three municipalities of Cova da Beira.
The artistic proposal of the project is based on the use of theater as a creative agent of personal and social transformation and proposes to carry out two interconnected core activities: social and artistic research laboratories, for the development of soft skills and initiation into theatrical practice, and the creation of a documentary theater show, together with a professional artistic team.
As satellite activities of the project, the development of initiatives that aim to have an impact on the way society views the issue of single parenthood is planned, such as meeting groups, debates with guests, production of scientific articles (in partnership with the University of Beira Interior) and the production of a documentary video.
